As the regular season enters its final week, all eyes are on Nongshim RedForce—the only Korean team yet to secure a playoff spot—as they look to clinch their berth by defeating Gen.G.

After three weeks of play, Gen.G and DRX have both secured their playoff spots in the Alpha group with 3-1 records. Trailing behind them are Rex Regum Qeon and Nongshim RedForce with 2-2 records, followed by Team Secret with a 1-3 record.

In the final week of the regular season, Nongshim RedForce faces Gen.G on the 8th, while Rex Regum Qeon and Team Secret square off on the 10th. Among the three teams competing for the 3rd and 4th seeds, Nongshim RedForce plays first; if they defeat Gen.G on the 8th, they will secure their playoff spot regardless of other results.

However, if they lose, they must wait for the outcome of the match between Rex Regum Qeon and Team Secret on the 10th. If Rex Regum Qeon wins, Nongshim RedForce will advance to the playoffs as the 4th seed, but if Team Secret wins, all three teams will finish with a 2-3 record, triggering a tiebreaker scenario.

Gen.G is also desperate for a win. If Gen.G loses and DRX wins, the top spot in the Alpha group will go to DRX. Since the top seed of each group earns a direct ticket to the second round of the playoffs, this is a crucial match for Gen.G, who have held the top spot since the third week.

While the Alpha group is still fighting for two tickets, the Omega group has already determined its four playoff teams after three weeks. Talon Esports, Paper Rex, and DetonatioN FocusMe have secured their spots with 3-1 records, and T1, despite a 2-2 record, has locked in at least 4th place by defeating both ZETA DIVISION and BOOM Esports.

The matches in the Omega group during the fourth week will determine the final group stage standings. The winner of the match between Talon Esports and Paper Rex on the 8th is highly likely to take the top spot in the Omega group, and if T1 defeats DetonatioN FocusMe on the 10th, they could potentially climb to 3rd place.

The 3rd-place team in the group stage must face the 2nd-place team from the opposite group in the first round of the playoffs. However, as they receive an extra opportunity compared to the 4th-place team starting in the lower bracket, it is in T1's best interest to finish the group stage with the highest possible ranking.
