Supercat announced on the 12th that it has signed a deal to leverage the intellectual property (IP) of Redice Studio for its upcoming mobile MMORPG, 'Project OQ'.

Currently in development at Supercat's Horang Studio, 'Project OQ' is set to be published by Kakao Games, following a publishing agreement solidified between the two firms back in July.

Redice Studio is a powerhouse in content creation, having adapted global sensations such as 'Solo Leveling' and 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' into webtoons. Notably, the 'Solo Leveling' webtoon has reached 14.3 billion cumulative global views and won the grand prize at the 2024 World Webtoon Awards.

Through this partnership, the two companies will co-develop the IP for 'Project OQ'. Supercat aims to construct a deep, immersive world, while Redice Studio will craft compelling character arcs and storytelling to be showcased via a webtoon. 'Project OQ' is currently targeting a Q3 2026 release, with the webtoon scheduled to debut ahead of the game's official launch.
