Inplay Interactive has announced a collaboration with developer TT Games, The LEGO Group, DC, and Warner Bros. Games to release the localized 'LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight' (hereinafter 'Dark Knight') in 2026. The title is slated to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

The adventure kicks off at the very origin of Batman. As a young Bruce Wayne trains alongside the League of Shadows, the story-driven campaign follows the journey of building a family and allies to stand against a rogues gallery of iconic DC super-villains. Batman is joined by the likes of Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, all while facing threats from the Joker, Penguin, Poison Ivy, and Ra's al Ghul.

A fresh combat system is being introduced, allowing for chain attacks, counters, and aerial takedowns. Players can also utilize iconic gadgets like the Batarang to distract or stun enemies, or the Batclaw to pull them in. Partner characters bring their own unique equipment to the table, such as Jim Gordon’s foam spray, Robin’s cable launcher, and Catwoman’s whip.

Across Gotham City, it is time to stop crime, solve puzzles, gather rewards, and uncover hidden secrets tucked away in every alley and rooftop. Traversing the environment can be done via grappling, gliding, or driving; players can swing between buildings with the grapple gun, soar through the skies with the Batglider, or take the Batmobile and Batcycle out for a spin. The Batcave itself is also customizable to display vehicles, trophies, and wearable Bat-suits.
