The new DLC, 'inZOI: Island Getaway,' is a free content drop that invites players to set up a new life in the city of Chahaya. Comprising a main island, a resort island, and an uninhabited island nestled between them, this debut DLC is already enjoying a 'Very Positive' (88% positive) rating. Early reviews are glowing, praising the sheer volume of content and the tangible improvements to gameplay, despite it being free. This warm reception seems to stem from both the exclusive DLC features and the substantial content updates rolled out to the base game.

In Chahaya, players can choose to lodge in one of three villas, unwind with a massage or a session in the sauna, or try their luck at activities like the lucky draw and turtle races. If that is not enough, one can go snorkelling, visit temples to bond with cats, or even rent a boat to sail the seas. Naturally, if players want to indulge in such luxuries, they will first need to put in some honest work back on the main island—think farming, fishing, or mining.

Alongside the DLC, the base game has received a 0.3.0 update that adds even more depth. The developer has refined the social dynamics, making the emotions, interactions, conversations, and romantic relationships between 'Zois' feel far more organic. Players are no longer tethered to a single city, as travel between cities is now possible, and the option to take out a loan for that first home has been introduced. Furthermore, a massive array of build items, including new Zoi outfits, swimming pools, and elevators, have been added to the mix.
