Kakao Games announced on the 21st that the new expansion for Path of Exile 2, developed by Grinding Gear Games, titled 'The Third Edict', will officially launch on the 30th at 5:00 AM.

The new expansion, 'The Third Edict', picks up where Act 3 left off. The journey begins as players set sail for the Karui Archipelago in search of the titular 'Third Edict', the last remaining hope and ultimate weapon for humanity.

Act 4, included in this update, boasts a non-linear design, allowing players to traverse the seas and explore eight distinct islands. Meanwhile, the existing Cruel difficulty acts have been purged, replaced by the addition of three new interlude acts.

The first interlude act continues the narrative following the defeat of the game's first boss, 'Count Geonor'. The second follows the sacred mission of Asala in the Vastiri Desert, while the final interlude delves into the aftermath of Doryani’s 'Sealing the Vaal' plot.

A significant quality-of-life upgrade arrives in the form of the 'Asynchronous Trading' system. Players can now register items via a new NPC into a 'Merchant's Tab', making them easily searchable through the official website. Crucially, buyers no longer need to wait for sellers; even if the seller is offline or away, the buyer can instantly port to the seller's hideout to complete the transaction.
