Given that Blade & Soul Revolution has been live for six years, it is hardly surprising that the digital landscape is littered with ghosts of characters past.

The developers are well aware of this, conducting periodic purges of accounts that have long since abandoned their journey. Currently, a 'long-term inactive account' is strictly defined: no login for three months, a character level of 200 or lower, and zero payment history. However, in the current meta, hitting level 200 is trivial, meaning very few characters actually meet the criteria to be wiped.

To address this, the policy is set to change on September 17. The threshold will shift from 'level 200 or lower' to 'characters at Hongmoon level 50 or lower'. While other criteria remain unchanged, this should offer a glimmer of hope for those waiting to snag that elusive character name.

Recently, a player known as 'Jeong-gwon' made waves by sharing their frustration, having scouted ten desired names only to find none were freed up. This upcoming policy shift might finally be the good news they have been waiting for.

The team continues to push for server merges and transfers to keep the game environment lively. The latest target for consolidation is the merger of Cheonjigae-byeok and Munjeon-seongsi, scheduled for September 9.
