Come this Sunday, the 31st, the Daejeon e-Sports Arena (Yuseong, Daejeon) will play host to the crowning of the inaugural champion for the PUBG Mobile discipline of the 2025 Korea e-Sports League (hereinafter 2025 KEL).

The 2025 KEL, having made its debut this year, is a regionally rooted e-sports circuit designed to foster local talent and invigorate the industry. By collaborating with regional e-sports venues in cities like Busan, Gwangju, Gyeongnam, and Daejeon, the league aims to spark local economic growth through offline competition. Looking ahead, some disciplines are slated to serve as benchmarks for national team selection, with further plans to integrate with middle and high school tournaments and the National Youth Sports Festival to solidify the foundation of scholastic e-sports.

After six days of intense preliminary action, the final points—awarded to the top three teams of each day—have been tallied. DRX currently leads the pack with 9 points. They are followed by ▲Nongshim RedForce with 7 points, ▲G.N. Restart CG with 6 points, ▲Dplus KIA with 5 points, ▲FN Sejong with 3 points, ▲Jeonnam e-Sports with 2 points, while Daejeon Game PT, Jecheon Phalanx, GJ EOS, and e-Sports From have each secured 1 point. These initial tallies will serve as the baseline for the finals, where final rankings will be determined by adding the performance points earned during the concluding matches.

The inaugural victors of the KEL PUBG Mobile category will walk away with 10,000,000 won in prize money and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award. All participating teams will earn points based on their performance across the two-day finale, which will be factored into the selection process for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC). Additionally, the tournament MVP will be gifted a SIDIZ GC PRO gaming chair.

The 2025 KEL PUBG Mobile finals are scheduled for Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st, with both sessions kicking off at 3:00 PM. Admission to the Daejeon e-Sports Arena is free of charge, with no prior booking required. Attendees on-site will be entered into a lucky draw for prizes including SIDIZ gaming chairs, Google Play gift cards, and Starbucks gift cards. A variety of events for online viewers are also in the pipeline.

The matches will be broadcast live on the official KEL Naver Chzzk, SOOP, and YouTube channels. The commentary for the first day of the finals will be led by caster Sim Ji-soo and analyst Kim Dong-yeon, while the second day will feature caster Park Han-eol alongside analyst 'Jeol-jeol-po' Han Jeong-uk. The 2025 KEL is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, co-organised by KeSPA, Krafton, Nimble Neuron, and Nexon Korea, with support from the Korea Creative Content Agency, SK Telecom, and the Daejeon e-Sports Arena. The total prize pool stands at 100,000,000 won.
