Wargaming is set to roll out the 2.0 update for 'World of Tanks' on September 1st, bringing Tier 11 tanks into the fray.

The 2.0 update is a comprehensive overhaul, featuring 16 Tier 11 tanks, a completely redesigned Hangar and UI, and a story-driven PvE mode set on previously unseen maps. It also packs extensive tank balancing and a next-gen automated matchmaking system.

These debut Tier 11 tanks introduce unique special abilities and a fresh progression system. Wargaming confirmed that even more of these high-tier machines are in the pipeline for future releases.

The balancing act doesn't stop there; over 350 tanks across all tiers have been tuned. Furthermore, the Hangar has been transformed into a fully functional 'Tank Factory,' where players can assemble, equip, and deploy their machines with greater efficiency.

The update also introduces a cleaner, more functional UI, a faster matchmaking queue with improved team balancing, new maps like Scandinavia and Nordskar, and a PvE event that dives into the lore of the Tier 11 arrival.

Audio hasn't been ignored either. Players can expect richer, more realistic tank sounds recorded from actual vehicles, alongside crisper combat audio designed to bring every skirmish to life.

To celebrate this massive update, Wargaming is rolling out generous rewards from the 2.0 launch until mid-October. Veterans who joined before the 2.0 update are eligible for Tier 6 to 10 tanks from one tech tree line, 2,500 Gold, 15,000 Bonds, 10 million Credits, and 60 days of Premium account time.

For those joining after the 2.0 update, the package includes Tier 6 to 10 tanks from two tech trees, three Premium tanks, 60 days of Premium account time, and 6 million Credits. Commanders who already own the full range of Tier 6 to 10 tanks will be awarded special medals, emblems, and insignias.
