Akatsuki Games, the studio behind 'Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle' and 'Tribe Nine', launched 'Kaiju No. 8: The Game' on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on August 31, in collaboration with Toho and Production I.G.

'Kaiju No. 8: The Game' brings the anime's universe to life with 3D graphics. Players can dive into one of three modes: 'Main Story', 'Flashback Story', or 'Character Story'.

The combat is a turn-based affair where you assemble a squad of four to take on colossal kaiju. You’ll be cycling through normal attacks, skills, and finishers to expose the beast's 'core'. Once exposed, triggering link attacks and follow-up combos becomes the key to victory.

Character progression is standard fare, involving upgrades to stats, skills, and equipment. For those feeling lucky, the 'Uni Parts' gear development system allows for randomized stat boosts.

With the cooperation of the original creator Naoya Matsumoto, the game features a new original story fully voiced by the cast. Ichikawa Reno, seen in episode 19 of the anime, joins the roster alongside a new weapon, the 'AR-Boreas' assault rifle.

'Kaiju No. 8: The Game' has already topped global App Store download charts. To celebrate, the developer is gifting 1,000 Dimensional Crystals. Thanks to surpassing 1.6 million pre-registrations, players will also receive a 5-star character and 20 summon tickets.
