'Raven 2' held its server transfer window from August 27 to September 2. Our latest data indicates a massive migration of guilds, with the general atmosphere best described as 'consolidation.' The usual suspects—veteran guilds who have been grinding Raven 2 since day one—have all flocked to specific worlds. In this edition of Meca Ranking, we’re breaking down the guilds expected to make a splash in the upcoming Ancient Citadel.

Analysis of Guilds Expected to Participate in the 28th Ancient Citadel Ranking

ROYAL makes an appearance in Group 1

Group 1 sees Lux and Kerum going head-to-head. Lux previously hosted regulars like MuHon and NoPpakku, but they were conspicuously absent from our latest count. It seems they’ve deployed a smoke screen to dodge any unwanted scrutiny. Both guilds are known for their penchant for running sub-guilds; we’ve previously spotted MuHon2, NoPpakku2, and NoPpakku3 in the match tables.

What really piques our curiosity is the whereabouts of NoPpakku. They’ve built a reputation for bringing their sub-guilds into the fray, a strategy that has earned them one of the most impressive win streaks in Raven 2. If you see them on the bracket or roaming your world, you’d best be on your guard.

Over in Kerum, we’ve seen guilds brandishing the 'ROYAL' name popping up all over the place. This is a moniker that once commanded real fear in Raven 2. It appears that the 'Wise' alliance and the 'MomWhyHitMe' alliance have rebranded to 'ROYAL○○'. Is this the grand return of the ROYAL alliance? We’re waiting with bated breath for the next bracket reveal and the match results.

Sola expected to dominate Groups 3 through 5

Raven 2 recently matched Nox, Mare, and Sola. Group 3 features Nox vs. Mare, Group 4 pits Nox against Sola, and Group 5 sees Mare and Sola clash. Nox was, until recently, a hotbed for high-ranking guilds, but the server transfer has left its influence waning. Heavyweights like RoyalMine, MythRed, AnimalCrossingComePlay, Kings, and Addiction1 have all packed their bags and left.

That said, it’s far too early to count Nox out. Plenty of stalwarts remain, such as the AAAAA alliance—home to GZone—and Myth1. The locals might just seize the opportunity to step up now that the big dogs have moved on.

You might be wondering why I’m betting on Sola. Just look at the Honor world’s roster. The Myth alliance—comprising MythRed, MythBlue, and MythBlack—has set up shop there. They migrated from Nox, and MythRed in particular is a seasoned veteran of the Raven 2 Guild Championship. Seeing an entire alliance move en masse feels like the Great Migration of the Germanic tribes, at least in a gaming sense.

Don’t overlook the guilds that were already calling Sola home, such as Salus’s Nameless, Mors Pirates, Honor Judgment Day, and Metus Turtle. These are guilds with high-ranking players who consistently secure spots in the Ancient Citadel. Keep an eye on past brackets and analyze the expected participants even after the matches conclude.

Is Vita becoming the next war zone?

Vita is rapidly morphing into Raven 2’s new battleground. The likes of RomanticZ, NoPpakku, Valentine, Kings, and Myth—all Ancient Citadel veterans—have gathered here. Each has formed its own power base, such as the Solid alliance, Kings alliance, and Legend. I was particularly intrigued by the appearance of Salus rankers Malkang and Molkang, part of the Soft alliance. They’re new faces here, and it will be interesting to see if they can carve their name into the Ancient Citadel brackets.

As for Terra, we’ll need to keep a close watch. We’ve spotted the BaskinRobbins guild on Terra and the Legend and Hellgate alliances on Salus. These are seasoned veterans. On Mors, AnimalCrossingGatherAround is high up on the guild rankings, though they only have about 10 members. It reminds me of the guilds that used to play musical chairs with 'AnimalCrossing○○○' names to stay relevant. One of them, AnimalCrossingComePlay, shared some excellent Ancient Citadel Tips in a previous interview. We’ll wait patiently to see if they make a comeback.

Exciting brackets ahead!

There’s a clear trend of top guilds clustering in specific worlds following the Raven 2 server transfer. Sola and Vita are the perfect examples, and I expect some fireworks in Vita. With at least four active alliances setting up camp, the guild dungeon rankings are already showing a fierce battle for dominance.

Competition in Vita is going to be brutal. While Raven 2 moved to a group-based matching system, guilds from the same world can still cross paths. Plus, only four guilds per server can participate, so you have to survive the bidding war first. For those keeping score, the 28th Ancient Citadel will feature 'Fides - Salus - Honor' in Group 6 and 'Dolor - Metus - Mors' in Group 7. Take note if you’re planning to participate.

Ancient Citadel Content Analysis

Raven 2’s endgame is currently defined by Guild Dungeons, Abyss Floor 3, Rifts of Dimension, and the Ancient Citadel. Aside from the Rifts, these are all team efforts. As we head into the second half of 2025, the developers are doubling down on guild content with events that shower players in rewards for participating. Take the current 'Super Growth Weekly Training Mission 1'—it’s a guild-mandatory chore, but the rewards are frankly too good to pass up, even for the solo-minded among you.

All of this is clearly a lead-up to the upcoming Guild Skirmish content. It was originally slated for a late August release but was pushed back for extra polish, as noted in the 48th developer commentary. The core keywords for the Skirmish are 'Tournament' and 'Stronghold Capture.' Given the focus on tournaments, the gameplay will likely differ significantly from the alliance-heavy nature of the Ancient Citadel. Keep your eyes peeled on developer notes for more updates.

PVP Ranking Status

The 'All-Server PVP Ranking' section of Meca Ranking has officially moved to our Ancient Citadel coverage—they go hand-in-hand, after all. Generally, KDA scores and participation dip during Ancient Citadel weeks, but the server transfer has been the real disruptor. With so many guilds scouting for new homes, focused PVP has taken a backseat. A tip of the cap to 'AdventurerGuildKillingAccount' and this week’s number one, 'OneQ', for maintaining such high stats regardless. The server transfer ended at midnight on September 2, so expect the heat to pick up again soon!
