Netmarble's new title, 'The King of Fighters AFK' (hereinafter 'KOF AFK'), officially launched on September 4 at 12:00 PM. The game is an idle RPG utilizing the IP of SNK's popular fighting game series, 'The King of Fighters', and features a full roster of fan-favorite characters such as Iori, Kyo, and Terry. The fighters are rendered in high-quality, retro-inspired pixel art, allowing players to enjoy character growth and combat with simple controls.

In the game, players take on the role of a tournament organizer, working alongside fighters to thwart forces attempting to disrupt the competition. Depending on the content, players can assemble decks of 5 to 15 characters and utilize various combinations to employ strategies suited to the situation. Additionally, rewards accumulate even while the player is offline, making it easy to grow characters.

KOF AFK is providing a 'Vice' Unique grade fighter selector as a pre-registration reward. These rewards can be claimed once the mailbox menu is unlocked upon reaching Stage 2. Users who participated in the early access period prior to the official launch are also eligible for these rewards.

To celebrate the official launch, various events offering generous rewards have begun. These include a '7-Day Attendance Check' where players can obtain Legend fighter summon tickets, 'Stage Clear' events providing rubies and various resources, and a special event commemorating the arrival of Kyo Kusanagi, all of which are expected to be a great help in developing fighters.
