Netmarble has officially launched 'The King of Fighters AFK', a new character-collection mobile RPG developed by Netmarble Neo, worldwide (excluding China and certain other territories) on September 4.

The King of Fighters AFK is based on SNK’s iconic 'THE KING OF FIGHTERS' franchise. The game features a retro 2D pixel-art aesthetic and focuses on the fun of collecting and leveling up popular fighters from across the series.

The game is available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store. To celebrate the launch, all players will receive 3,000 summons, 210,000 rubies, and one guaranteed Legend-grade fighter.

The launch version features a total of 114 fighters, including 36 Legend-grade characters, along with various pets that can be added to your deck. The game also includes 10 PvE dungeons, a massive 12,600-stage campaign, various progression systems, and a range of competitive modes from small-scale skirmishes to ranked battles.

Launch events are also underway. A special 7-day attendance event offers a total of 300,000 rubies and Legend fighter summon tickets. The first pickup event, featuring KOF '99 style Kyo Kusanagi, runs until September 17. Simultaneous pickup events for fighters with 'Fury' synergy are also available, with more events featuring pets and supporters to be revealed sequentially.
