Kakao Games is putting the spotlight on the pixel art aesthetic of its upcoming action RPG, 'Goddess Order'.

In a market currently obsessed with flashy 3D graphics, 'Goddess Order' takes a refreshing detour with a 'full pixel art' style. From characters and environments to the UI icons, every element is rendered in 2D pixel art, blending a retro sensibility with modern presentation. In a recent video on their official YouTube channel, the development team explained, "Pixel art isn't just about nostalgia; it’s about the unique charm of cramming vast imagination into a limited number of pixels."

The artwork, meticulously hand-crafted down to the character expressions, movements, and environmental details, creates an immersive, charming world that manages to strike a balance between retro aesthetics and modern sensibilities.

The pixel art style also breathes life into the storytelling. Set in a kingdom facing a prophesied doom, 'Goddess Order' follows the journey of the princess 'Lizbeth' as she defies fate under the command of a goddess. Rather than relying solely on text, 'Goddess Order' uses pixel-based cutscenes to inject vitality into character expressions and actions, offering a more dramatic experience.

To prevent the gameplay from feeling repetitive, the developers have included special story content like 'sniper mini-games' and 'mine rush games'. Furthermore, hidden objects scattered throughout villages and fields enhance the joy of exploration.

'Goddess Order' is scheduled for a simultaneous global launch on the 24th, supporting a total of six languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Spanish, with full voice acting in both Korean and Japanese.
