Webzen is bringing its long-standing IP 'R2' back to the table, this time reimagined through the lens of Unreal Engine 5.

On the 25th, Webzen announced that the service for its new MMORPG, 'R2 Origin (Reign of Revolution ORIGIN)', would officially kick off at 8 PM.

R2 Origin is an MMORPG that rebuilds Webzen’s classic R2 IP with the graphical prowess of Unreal Engine 5. The narrative unfolds within a parallel universe of R2, following the journey of heroes. Players take on the role of a follower of the ancient entity, Netis, while enjoying significantly upgraded environmental graphics and character animations.

Pre-downloads are available via the major app stores and the official brand site until the service goes live. Those who participated in pre-registration and character name reservation will have their characters automatically generated on the selected server, allowing for a swift entry into the game.

To celebrate the launch, Webzen has rolled out various festivities, including the 'Launch Level Achievement Event' and a 'Launch Celebration! Special Attendance' log. Participants can earn a variety of rewards, such as Hero-grade transformation and servant summon tickets.
