Gravity announced on the 26th that it has secured a Chinese publishing license for its new idle RPG, 'Ragnarok: Dream Skies' (known in Chinese as 仙境传说：梦想天空).

The National Press and Publication Administration of China revealed the list of approved foreign publishing licenses on its official website on September 24. This marks the third time this year that Gravity has clinched a license for a title based on the Ragnarok IP. Previously, the company secured approval for the MMOARPG 'Ragnarok: Beginning' (仙境传说：初心) in January, followed by the adventure MMORPG 'Ragnarok: The Promised Adventure' (仙境传说之约定好的冒险) in May.

Ragnarok: Dream Skies is an idle RPG built upon the lore and characters of the original Ragnarok Online. It aims to streamline the experience with a vertical interface and automated combat, while retaining the depth of an MMORPG through strategic character progression. You can take on stages with a party of up to three companions of various classes, and there is a wide variety of content: from real-time PvP in Valhalla to co-op boss raids with your guild, plus housing and character customization options.

The game has already been released globally under the name 'Ragnarok Idle Adventure Plus' since February this year, and it launched in Korea under that same moniker in August. It also arrived in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau in May, branded as 'RO: Idle Adventure' (RO仙境傳說：放推冒險團).

Gravity's business director, Kim Jin-hwan, commented, "Securing our third license this year for the Ragnarok IP is a significant milestone. By consistently obtaining these approvals in China, we are not only proving the competitive edge of the Ragnarok brand but also cementing its status as a familiar face for local players." He added, "Given the popularity this title has enjoyed in other regions, we are committed to doing our absolute best to ensure it resonates just as well with the Chinese audience upon launch."
