Welcome back to the Meca Ranking for Arthdal Chronicles. With the latest update, the fourth new class, the Holy Knight—a wielder of mysterious veils—has arrived. We have noticed a significant wave of players switching to this new class since its release. So, how does the current class distribution look? And which top-tier players have made the jump to the Holy Knight? KookminTree has done the legwork to find out.

The Holy Knight: A Hot Favourite From Week One

The Holy Knight is making a serious push in Arthdal Chronicles. Looking at the numbers, 18% of the top 100 players across all servers have already swapped to the new class. When we broaden the scope to the top 500, it sits at a solid 10.2%. While it may not have reached the fever pitch we saw with the Dual Blade or Stormbringer releases, the level of player interest remains quite substantial.

The Holy Knight is proving to be a tempting prospect for our top-ranked players, largely thanks to its kit. The defining trait here is a design that fluidly shifts between melee and ranged combat. You have 'Severing Strike', 'Holy Charge', and 'Spinning Slash' for close-quarters skirmishes, while 'Spatial Sword', 'Master of the Holy Sword', 'Anathema', and 'Condemnation Blade' handle threats from afar. Many players seem to find this versatile style refreshingly original.

Unsurprisingly, players have been ditching their previous classes to pick up the Holy Knight, with many of these converts coming from the Dual Blade, Fighter, and Warrior ranks. It seems that with recent melee DPS classes struggling to maintain efficiency, many have opted for the Holy Knight, which boasts both superior grinding performance and a strong presence in PvP.

So, who are the notable top-rankers making the switch? Taking a look at the rankings, we have players like 'Pa-ak-jil' (Dual Blade, Yunseul 2), 'Aram-forest-insect-shell' (Archer, Yunseul 2), 'Jjimjil' (Stormbringer, Yunseul 2), 'Lee-dae-pyo' (Warrior, Iruju 3), '一隻小怪兽' (Priest, Saya 1), and 'Neutral-fam' (Warrior, Siar 1). Just looking at this list gives you a clear picture of how many melee veterans have embraced the Holy Knight.

Aside from the Holy Knight, there is another trend worth noting: the Archer. While the arrival of the Holy Knight has cannibalised the share of every other class, the Archer is the only one to see an increase in its popularity. This is almost certainly down to its grinding prowess. Word is that running Archer as your main class with Stormbringer as a sub, combined with the Legendary-grade 'Aimed Shot' and Hero-grade 'Lucky Strike', allows for some truly monstrous clear speeds.

Some notable players who have switched to the Archer include '天涯' (Dual Blade, Saya 2), 'Cheon-ha-cheon-geom' (Dual Blade, Aramunhaesla 2), 'Defreet' (Warrior, Irae 2), 'Egen-nam' (Warrior, Irae 2), and '一隻小野兽' (Stormbringer, Saya 1). It appears that mid-tier players, who need the grinding efficiency for growth, are the primary demographic driving this trend. I for one am curious to hear how it feels in practice.

What about the average combat power across all servers?

Let’s turn our attention to the average combat power rankings. There hasn't been a major shake-up this week. Every server has maintained its standing, with average combat power creeping up by about 1,000 to 2,000 points. We also saw the addition of new growth-focused servers: Thoros, Esku, and Natheak. Even after just one week, they have seen a staggering rise in combat power. It will be interesting to see how far they can climb.

How about the Faction Point rankings?

Since there were no faction elections last week, the race for points wasn't quite as frantic as usual. However, with faction points now scaling based on monster levels in regions from the East of the Sea of Tears onwards, the average for top players has surged. Consequently, 'Pa-ak-jil' from Yunseul 2 has claimed the top spot across all servers with a massive 12,638,520,000 points. Even after switching to the Holy Knight, they remain a force to be reckoned with.

Following them, 'Doduk' from Isodeunyeong 2 sits in 2nd with 11,732,050,000 points, 'Nunbadong-insect-shell' from Yunseul 2 is 3rd with 8,627,120,000, 'Aram-forest-insect-shell' from Yunseul 2 takes 4th with 8,105,870,000, '天涯' from Saya 2 holds 5th with 7,540,560,000, and 'Michin-ja' from Yunseul 1 rounds out the top 6 with 7,412,630,000 points.

And the Alliance Point rankings?

Next, let's look at the Alliance Point rankings. Once again, the 'AceT' alliance from Irae 2 holds the top spot with 33,693,390,000 points. They are followed by the 'Dooly' alliance from Isodeunyeong 2 with 33,163,190,000 points in 2nd, the 'Akryeong' alliance from Yunseul 2 in 3rd with 31,770,770,000 points, and the 'AceX' alliance from Irae 1 in 4th with 30,573,730,000 points.

Arthdal Chronicles User Poll

Here are the results from last week's Meca Ranking poll. The question was, 'What are you most looking forward to in the September update?' Unsurprisingly, the news of the new Holy Knight class took the top spot with 38.1% of the vote. That was followed by the addition of multi-client support at 23.81%, the launch of the growth-focused Boost servers at 19.05%, and the improvements and retroactive updates to the Awakening system at 9.52%.
