The Metacritic critic scores for Battlefield 6 have been released ahead of its launch on the 11th.

As of 10:00 AM on October 10th, Battlefield 6 holds an 84 on Metacritic. The PS5 version, which has the most reviews, received an 84 from 51 outlets. The Xbox version received the highest score of 88 from 10 outlets, while the PC version recorded an 84 from 36 outlets. While this is slightly lower than the series' acclaimed Battlefield 2 (91), it is higher than its predecessors, Battlefield 2042 (68) and Battlefield 5 (81).

The multiplayer mode has been universally praised. Various multiplayer modes such as Conquest, Domination, and King of the Hill are noted for their high level of immersion, and the destruction system adds to the fun. Additionally, the diverse equipment customization and vehicle mechanics were highlighted as attractive features.

There are also opinions that the strengths of previous series have been revived. The match size is capped at 64 players, which is not excessive, and the class system—divided into Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon—is analyzed to have brought back the signature Battlefield experience. Some outlets even praised it as the "return of the pinnacle of shooters." However, there is widespread criticism regarding the campaign mode, with many calling it "short and tedious."

Battlefield 6 will be released on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on the 11th at 00:00 (KST) and will officially support the Korean language.
