2K has just rolled out a fresh campaign season, dubbed 'Faction Campaign: Mecha Frontier', for their mobile strategy title, Civilization: Era of Alliances.

Think of this as an endgame challenge for those who have already completed Season 3. Before the season kicks off, you can mingle and form parties with players from other servers in the 'Grand Forum' staging map. Once the season begins, you and your squad will dive into a new server to tackle an exclusive game mode, complete with a healthy dose of competition, cooperation, and a string of events and missions.

For this debut run of 'Faction Campaign: Mecha Frontier', you get to align yourself with one of six factions: Qin Shi Huang, Caesar, Saladin, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, or Victoria. Your choice determines your starting continent, setting the stage for some proper diplomacy and tactical maneuvering as you aim to conquer the interior and seize 'Babylon'. Each faction also boasts three unique skills that trigger under specific conditions, adding a nice bit of flavor to your strategic repertoire.

To spice things up, they have added two new Mecha units—complete with powerful abilities and a handy leap mechanic—alongside a roster of 5-star heroes like Lincoln, Fuma Kotaro, Heo Jun, Hypatia, and Thales. They have also introduced four new 'Radiant' skills: 'Mantra of Protection', 'Countless Heroes', 'Commanding Lead', and 'Intelligence Strike', which offer buffs for attacking, defending, healing, and stat enhancement respectively.
