Let’s kick off with our mobile chart breakdown. It appears the September crop of games has officially found its footing. With 'The Starlight' leading the charge, 'R2 Origin' and 'Goddess Order' have positioned themselves to climb toward the very peak. They have maintained a solid momentum since their debut; if they keep this level of stability, they could easily become long-term staples. Of course, we shall see if that holds once the post-launch hype settles.

We also have some fresh faces: 'Memory General Store' (24th, NEW), 'MU: Pocket Knights' (28th, NEW), and 'Aetheria: Restart' (36th, NEW). Of the three, 'Memory General Store' is particularly interesting as it is a simulation game—a genre rarely seen thriving in a mobile market dominated by RPGs. It leans heavily into a nostalgic, retro aesthetic. That said, there have been some gripes regarding subtitle errors in the local translation, which is a bit of a letdown.

As these newcomers muscle their way in, some established titles have inevitably hit a rough patch. A prime example is 'Lineage 2M' (32nd, -6). Its search volume has been on a slow, steady decline, and this week it finally slipped out of the top 20. It seems the lack of major updates since August is starting to take its toll.

In the top tier, 'Odin: Valhalla Rising' and 'Yeolhyulgangho: Return' have stuttered slightly, likely due to the aggressive surge of 'R2 Origin'. It’s not that their search volume has cratered, mind you—they still have plenty of room to bounce back if they pull a new card from their sleeves, which would certainly turn the top 10 competition into a bloodbath.

Perhaps it is the international tournament effect? 'League of Legends', the undisputed champion of the online charts, saw a massive spike in engagement. The primary culprit? The '2025 LOL Asia Invitational (ASI)' held during this period. It was already leagues ahead of the competition, and now the gap has widened even further.

For those not in the loop, the ASI concluded with Korea’s BNK FearX taking the crown, while Dplus KIA secured second place. Nongshim RedForce finished third, meaning Korean teams absolutely dominated the top three. It was a historic moment for BNK FearX, marking their first-ever international tournament trophy since the team's inception.

And the international action doesn't stop there. On October 14th, the '2025 LOL World Championship'—the event every esports fan has been craving—kicked off. The clash between LCK and LPL fourth seeds, T1 and IG, drew massive attention. The Steam charts are in a state of absolute, unadulterated chaos. Every single report brings a new wave of heavy-hitting newcomers that shake the foundations. We’ve mentioned over a dozen new titles recently, and a handful of them have already clawed their way into the upper echelons to lead the pack.

Last time, we talked about 'EA Sports FC 26', which debuted at 3rd. It has climbed one spot this week to claim 2nd place, breathing down the neck of the current leader, 'PUBG'. Filling the now-vacant 3rd spot is a fresh face: 'Battlefield 6'. Much like 'EA Sports FC 26', it’s the latest entry in a long-standing, prestigious series.

Released on October 11th, 'Battlefield 6' made a splash with a staggering 740,000 peak concurrent players on its first day. It ranked 3rd in daily peak concurrent players, trailing only behind the titans 'Counter-Strike 2' and 'Dota 2'. The influx was so massive that some users even reported login queues exceeding 400,000. It seems the pre-launch anticipation finally erupted.

While the single-player campaign is a bit of a letdown, the consensus is that the multiplayer is nothing short of exceptional. The 'Conquest' mode, with all its chaotic gadgetry, is the standout feature. That said, technical hiccups on Steam have been a bit of a drag, leading to some frustrated voices in the community. As of October 15th, the Steam rating sits at 'Mostly Positive' with 79,365 reviews. If they iron out these technical gremlins, the reception will likely improve.

'Architect: Land of Exile', launching on October 22nd, has surged straight into 2nd place. With pre-downloads and character creation opening on the 21st, one day before launch, interest has skyrocketed, allowing it to overtake several veterans and park itself right behind the leader, 'Aion 2'. It is highly likely it will hold onto that 2nd spot in next week’s report.

'Astellia M', which launched on the 14th, has finished its run on the pre-registration chart at 4th. We’ll be keeping a close eye on how it performs in the mobile games category next week. Also worth noting is 'Star Savior', which hit the chart for the first time at 10th. It’s a collection-based RPG slated for a November 20th release.

'Star Savior' first made waves on September 23rd, when it unveiled its release date and opened pre-registrations via an online showcase. They teased core gameplay details then, successfully drumming up interest. With about a month left until launch, the team is likely in the final stages of polishing the experience.
