Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea announced that it released 'Tales of Katamari', the latest entry in the Katamari series, for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S on the 23rd. The Steam version will be released on October 24th.

'Tales of Katamari' is set in a world where a mysterious scroll the King of All Cosmos was playing with destroyed the Earth, the Moon, and many stars. The Prince must travel through time to various eras of Earth recorded in the scroll, rolling up objects to restore the lost stars. Players will travel to various eras including the Wild West, Ancient Egypt, and the Jurassic period.

This game offers a soundtrack featuring returning BGM and new cousin customization options. New items that help with rolling appear, such as the 'Rocket' which increases rolling speed, the 'Magnet' which attracts objects, and the 'Timer' which pauses time for a short while. Players can choose to play as the Prince or one of the 68 cousins. Through 'Cousin Customization', players can change the color or facial parts of their cousins to create an original character.

In the new 'Sport Katamari' mode, four players compete to roll the biggest clump within a limited time. Players can test their skills against cousins from around the world via offline single-player or online play. Users who possess save data from previous titles 'Katamari Damacy REROLL' or 'We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie' will receive the cousin 'King of All Cosmos (Child)' as a special bonus. This special character appeared in past series and can be used in the cousin customization feature.

Additionally, Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea is holding an event on their KakaoTalk page to celebrate the release of 'Tales of Katamari'. Users can watch the launch trailer and leave a comment about which era they would like to roll through and why for a chance to win prizes. The event runs until November 13th.
