EA teased the gameplay trailer for Battlefield REDSEC on their official YouTube channel on the 28th. REDSEC is a battle royale mode featuring 25 squads of four, totaling 100 players. It is scheduled to launch in Korea alongside the Battlefield 6 Season 1 update on the 29th, sharing the same mechanics and equipment as the main game.

According to the upcoming video, titled 'Battlefield REDSEC Official Gameplay Trailer', the description explicitly states 'Free to Play. October 28th (local time)', suggesting you won't need to own Battlefield 6 to jump in. Interestingly, the thumbnail features the phrase 'REDACTED SECTOR', which seems to be the origin of the official name, REDSEC.

Battlefield REDSEC was notably absent from the Battlefield 6 playtest back in August. However, previous leaks hinted that it would feature a massive firestorm, much like the Firestorm mode in Battlefield 5. Speculation suggests that vehicles like tanks and golf carts will be available, with the firestorm obliterating everything—and everyone—in its path.

Meanwhile, Battlefield 6 has been flying off the shelves, moving 7 million copies in less than a week. The first major Season 1 update arrives with REDSEC, bringing the large-scale map 'Blackwell fields' and other new modes into the mix.
