The nominees for the 'Game of the Year' at the Golden Joystick Awards, one of the most prestigious global gaming ceremonies, have been revealed.

Future Publishing announced the final shortlist on the 3rd (local time) via its gaming outlet, GamesRadar, and opened the floor for user voting. The poll, which runs until the 7th, focuses exclusively on the 'Ultimate Game of the Year' category, with the final winner determined by the votes of global gamers.

There are 12 contenders in total. Leading the charge is Sandfall Interactive’s 'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33', which received the most nominations across the board. They are joined by Warhorse Studios’ 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance II', Supergiant Games’ 'Hades II', and Kojima Productions’ 'Death Stranding 2: On The Beach'.

Games recognized for their experimental design or unique elements were also selected. These include Dogubom’s 'Blue Prince', MachineGames’ 'Indiana Jones and the Great Circle', Hazelight Studios’ 'Split Fiction', and Nintendo’s 'Donkey Kong Bananza'.

Furthermore, major titles from the second half of the year, such as Sucker Punch Productions’ 'Ghost of Yōtei' and Neobards Entertainment’s 'SILENT HILL f', have secured their spots. Two indie games that gained massive popularity this year, Team Cherry’s 'Hollow Knight: Silksong' and Team Peak’s 'PEAK', have also joined the list.

The Golden Joystick Awards ceremony is set to take place in London on the 20th (local time). The event will feature awards across 22 categories, including Game of the Year. Several Korean titles have also been nominated this year, including PUBG Mobile (Still Playing Award: Mobile), Lies of P: The Prelude (Best Game Expansion), and Crimson Desert (Most Wanted Game).
