Riding the wave of the Steam Deck's success, Valve has pulled the curtain back on a new trio of hardware: the 'Steam Machine', 'Steam Controller', and 'Steam Frame', all designed to squeeze every drop of performance from your library.

First up, the Steam Machine is a gaming PC running SteamOS. We remember the 2015 attempt, which was, let's be honest, a bit of a flop—it lacked the price-to-performance punch to rival consoles or custom builds. A decade later, this new iteration packs an AMD multi-core CPU and RDNA 3 architecture. It supports up to 8K (7,680x4,320) resolution, comes in 512GB and 2TB options, and includes a Micro SD slot for extra storage.

Then there’s the Steam Frame, the successor to the 2019 Valve Index. It’s a standalone VR HMD, much like the Meta Quest series, meaning you can ditch the PC tether. Weighing in at 440g—nearly half the 809g heft of the original Index—it’s a welcome relief. While the field of view has dipped to 110 degrees, the 2160x2160 resolution is a notable step up. It also features foveated streaming to sharpen where you’re looking, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 16GB of RAM. Storage options include 256GB and 1TB, with Micro SD support included.

Finally, the new Steam Controller revisits the 2015 original's iconic design while keeping those signature trackpads. What’s new is a magnetic transmitter for easier wired/wireless connectivity and charging, plus a 'grip sense' feature that uses capacitive touch to engage the gyro. It’s fully compatible across the entire Steam ecosystem, including the Deck, Machine, and Frame.

Valve is aiming for a release in early 2026. Prices remain under wraps, and in Korea, sales will be handled by Komodo, Valve’s partner for the Steam Deck.

In other news, Anno 117: Pax Romana has climbed to 2nd place on the global top sellers chart. While the gameplay has been praised, optimization issues and the clunky Ubisoft Connect integration have left early user reviews sitting at 'Mostly Positive'. Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition hit 10th place, thanks to a cheeky 80% discount.

In terms of peak Concurrent Players, Dispatch hit a record-breaking 220,000 following its final episode, landing in 6th place. Battlefield 6 dropped to the 270,000 range, widening the gap with ARC Raiders to over 80,000.
