Under this new policy, ONE store is accepting submissions for AI-crafted titles, and by early October, the dedicated section will be rebranded simply as 'AI Games' and pinned firmly to the bottom navigation bar of the app. For context, ONE store initially rolled out its experimental AI game showcase, dubbed AI Games, back in August.

Through this policy, developers can submit their AI-generated games via ONE store’s developer hub, ONEconsole. In an era where generative AI is democratising development—allowing tiny teams or folks with zero coding background to whip up a game—ONE store wants to give these creators an official stage to distribute and handle Monetization, effectively expanding the indie ecosystem on its own terms.

Any developer who has leveraged AI tools to build a game can register their product on ONEconsole. By simply flagging the submission as an AI-utilised game during registration, creators become eligible for featuring in the AI menu. ONE store plans to prioritize high-quality games among the submitted titles for its audience. Specifically, the platform is focusing first on web games (HTML5) that can be played instantly without installation, and by integrating the ONE store Web Game SDK, developers can even rake in revenue through in-app purchases and in-app ads.

Alongside this wider rollout, the platform is also tweaking user accessibility. The newly revamped AI game menu, arriving early next month, will remain permanently fixed at the bottom of the ONE store app so users can stumble upon it from literally anywhere within the software. This menu will showcase titles from Verse8—which has been curating AI games alongside ONE store since August—right alongside submissions from everyday independent developers.

In what the company frames as a bold leap forward, ONE store CEO Chang Hyun-guk noted that the rapid evolution of AI models is accelerating a paradigm shift that will flood the market with high-quality, entertaining AI games at breakneck speed. Director Chang added that ONE store intends to actively embrace this shift and position itself as the go-to mobile distribution platform for AI games.
