A. Yuri is the clear favourite.

To unlock the full potential of Rugal’s Wedge synergy, you’ll need to slot in additional Wedge fighters or pets. Aside from Rugal, your Legend-grade options include Yuri, Shermie, and Yashiro, while pets include the Legend-grade Rukaru and Unique-grade Komong and BomBomCoco.

Among our top-tier sample, the 'Rugal + Yuri' pairing reigns supreme. Out of 79 players running Rugal, 27 opted for Yuri. Interestingly, 4 of those players even added Shermie to the mix, while 14 went with a Rugal and Shermie-only setup.

Yuri’s active skill, 'White-Hot Slap,' grants a hefty attack boost to allies in the same row for 2 turns. If you can ascend her to 7 stars, her finish skill adds an acceleration buff, reducing remaining cooldowns for allies in the same row. Pair this with Rugal’s front-row defence buff and back-row finish skill damage boost, and you’ve got a team that’s as sturdy as it is lethal.

Shermie is another solid choice, offering a critical damage buff via her active skill. At 7 stars, her finish skill gains a 'Critical Increase' effect, making her a perfect companion for the Rugal-Yuri core.

A. Rage, Execution, and Endurance, in that order.

So, what’s the winning synergy combo? Out of those 79 users, 55 went with Rage. The standard play here is Kyo and Mai, sometimes swapping in Chizuru or swapping out Mai entirely. Many players are also using Kyo and a Rage pet to trigger the synergy, then filling the remaining slots with Execution fighters to maximise raw damage output.

The popularity of the Rage build lies in Rugal’s finish skill. It grants the 'Elation' buff to allies in other rows, boosting finish skill damage. Given that the Rage synergy also scales finish skill damage, it’s a match made in heaven that most top players simply couldn't ignore.

Execution synergy was the next most popular choice, used by 27 out of 79 players, largely relying on Terry and Spooky Mature. Since the synergy boosts subsequent attack damage when allies land a kill, it synergises beautifully with Rugal’s high-damage finish skill.

For those who prefer a more defensive playstyle, Endurance is the way to go, favoured by 15 users. Using 'Athena + Tung Fu Rue' or 'Athena + Pet,' this setup boosts the team’s total HP and defence, letting you outlast your opponents in a war of attrition.

A few outliers experimented with Kula and Encroachment pets for a 'Wedge + Encroachment' build, while some ran Rugal solo without any Wedge synergy at all. If you’re looking to build a Wedge-based team, check your current roster and try to mimic one of these three primary synergies.
