On the 27th, 'The King of Fighters AFK' (hereafter KOF AFK) added new Legend-grade fighters 'Orochi' and 'Goenitz', alongside a brand-new PvP mode. To celebrate, they have also kicked off a series of Black Friday and recruitment events.

First, Orochi joins the fray as a new Special Synergy fighter. As a Cosmos-type fighter with the 'Thought' synergy, he brings a potent buff to the table, boosting the Attack and Penetration stats for the entire team. He prioritizes the nearest foe, and upon triggering his active skill 'Release', he gains the 'Supernatural Power' buff, which increases critical damage for two turns.

His finish skill, 'Soul', hits every target on screen and increases damage dealt to bosses. Thanks to his passive 'Will of the Earth', he is remarkably hard to defeat—he is ignored as a target and takes reduced damage until he is the last one standing. You can only obtain Orochi through Premium Summons or the Ranking Event Exchange.

Goenitz, meanwhile, arrives as a Moon-type fighter with the 'Rush' synergy. When he uses his finish skill, 'Yonokaze', he triggers the 'Rough Wind' buff to boost his own Attack while stripping away the survivability buffs from his targets. His key feature is the passive 'Whirling Wind', which allows him to alternate between normal and active skills for a relentless barrage of attacks after using his finish skill.

To mark their arrival, various events have been prepared. A Goenitz pick-up and a Rush synergy pick-up summon are now live. If you summon enough times, you will be rewarded with an LE Goenitz fighter card and a Rush Legend fighter selector. Plus, there is an event pass where you can gather 'Blue Shards' through missions to climb tiers and snag rewards like pick-up fighter tokens.

Additionally, the new 'Integrated Server Dojo (BETA)' PvP mode has been added. It is a cross-server battle where four servers compete over a week to occupy each other's dojos. The inaugural season kicks off after the maintenance on December 4. The top 100 players by combat power from each server will participate in attacking and defending, with individual rewards waiting for those who step onto the battlefield.

On top of that, a new 'Lucky Bag' item has been added as a reward for modes like the Integrated Server Dojo, with a dedicated inventory in the chat window to send or receive them. The developers have also expanded the main stage count up to 28,800 and increased the level caps for both the Rune Museum and Clubs. New players have not been forgotten, either—there is a 'Mai Shiranui' pick-up and a 'Mai’s 7-Day Special Training' event, along with Black Friday festivities.
