Krafton has officially kicked off the PUBG Global Championship 2025 (PGC 2025) today, the 28th, in Bangkok, Thailand, marking the pinnacle of the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS competitive calendar.

The PGC is the annual battlefield where the globe's finest professional teams clash to crown the ultimate champion. This year’s PGC 2025 is part of the 'PUBG UNITED' initiative. Under the banner of 'One World Two Champion,' it’s a unified festival aiming to bridge the visions and stages of both the PC and mobile versions of PUBG esports.

The tournament runs from November 28 to December 14, with the Grand Final taking place at Siam Paragon in Bangkok from December 12 to 14. The base prize pool sits at $1.5 million, though that’s set to swell as 25% of the proceeds from PGC 2025 commemorative items are added to the pot. The eventual winners will walk away with a guaranteed $500,000 top prize, plus a handsome cut of those item sales.

A total of 33 teams are descending on the event, including the top 8 squads from the PUBG Global Series (PGS) points, regional qualifiers, and a host nation wildcard. We’re seeing a record-breaking number of Korean teams this year: Gen.G Esports, DNF, T1, BGP, FN POCHEON, and AZLA are all in the mix, ready to fight for glory.

PGC 2025 is more than just a tournament; it’s a manifesto for the 'PUBG UNITED' vision. Running alongside the PC event, the 2025 PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC 2025) is happening in the same city at the same time, offering fans of both platforms a unique, blended esports experience.

On-site, Krafton has set up a 'PGC Fan Zone' featuring exclusive merchandise and souvenirs. Fans can also look forward to player meet-and-greets, a 'Champion Wall' display, and various collaborative content under the 'PUBG UNITED' brand.
