Look, let's be honest, Digital Extremes dropped some rather juicy updates for both Warframe and Soulframe during a special Devstream live broadcast at the Tenno VIP community event held in Seoul. The next massive update for Warframe, titled Iceblade of Narin, is scheduled for a free release across all platforms on September 24.

On October 15, the in-game community event Epoch Operation: Tauro kicks off, while Warframe: Tau is slated to land in the autumn of 2026. For Soulframe fans out there, the Preludes 16 update is dropping in mid-September.

The Iceblade of Narin update introduces the 66th Warframe, Narin. Narin is an ice-themed Warframe designed to freeze targets and deal heavier critical hits. The character can also soar with crane-like wings, slam down onto the ground to dish out massive AoE cold damage, and render foes vulnerable to freezing. Once enough abilities are stacked, Narin can glide across icy terrain like a skater, unleashing a sword dance that fires projectile waves at surrounding enemies for colossal damage. Narin comes equipped with an alternate helmet, the signature bow Nunchasa, and the dual pistols Axondol.

We are also getting Warframe's first-ever 6-player squad mission, Glacial Defiance, alongside a brand-new relay hub dubbed Yuvan Peak. Glacial Defiance tasks the squad with hunting down Frost Sprites; while it is not quite a raid, it definitely demands some solid teamwork. A fresh enemy variant known as the Entropic Eximus joins the roster, dropping Entropic Kuva which can be traded with Cephalon Melica for new wares.

Kicking off on October 15, the in-game community event Epoch Operation: Tauro serves as a massive time-limited stepping stone preparing us for the next narrative chapter, Warframe: Tau. The global Warframe community must band together to forge the path toward the Tau system. Players who have completed The Hex and The Old Peace quests will gain access to the mini-quest Prologue to Tau.

On top of all that, the Banshee Warframe is getting a rework, and anyone who logs into Warframe between September 23 and October 7 will walk away with a free Banshee Warframe and a Forma reward. Fresh deluxe cosmetics like the Banshee Threnodia Collection and the Corpex Basilica Collection will drop alongside a total of five community-designed TennoGen customisation pieces.
