Larian Studios, which stunned the world with 'Baldur's Gate 3' in 2023, has unveiled a new title based on the 'Divinity' universe.

Rumors that Larian Studios would reveal a new Divinity title at The Game Awards had been circulating for some time. A bizarre installation appeared in the middle of a US desert, which looked remarkably similar to a 'Divinity' trademark Larian Studios had filed shortly before. This was confirmed to be true at The Game Awards.

The cinematic trailer begins in a village during a gruesome bonfire festival. A man wearing a black crown is strung up in the center of the village, and the villagers throw fire at him. Subsequently, black blood drips from the burning man's body, twisted flora begins to sprout, and it culminates in a shape that looks like a giant gateway to hell.

The genre of the new Divinity title is an RPG, and it was introduced as part of the Divinity saga. Given the description that 'the gods are silent' and 'Rivellon is bleeding,' the game appears to take place after the studio's previous title, 'Divinity: Original Sin 2.' However, as there was no explicit mention of it being an 'Original Sin' title, there is a possibility it could be a sequel to 'Divinity 2,' released in 2009.
