Ubisoft has officially announced that the global launch for 'Rainbow Six Mobile', the tactical FPS spin-off of their storied franchise, is set for February 23 next year.

The game will be free-to-play on both iOS and Android devices. Developed by the team at Ubisoft Montreal, the title aims to distill that signature Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six blend of high-octane FPS action and tactical decision-making into your palm.

You'll be diving into the core 5v5 PvP matches, choosing between the attacking or defending squads. Attackers will need to deploy drones to gather intel and strategically breach destructible walls, floors, or ceilings. Defenders, meanwhile, must reinforce entry points and utilize security cameras and traps to hold the line. It is a classic dance of strategy and teamwork that shifts as you swap roles.

Rainbow Six Mobile has been built from the ground up specifically for mobile hardware. While it retains the essence of Rainbow Six Siege, it brings a fresh suite of content including bespoke game modes, operators, maps, and onboarding tutorials.

Expect game modes like Bomb, Secure Area, and Team Deathmatch, with a roster of over 20 operators including familiar faces like ASH, MUTE, and DOKKAEBI. The map pool features iconic locations from Siege such as Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon, and Villa, alongside mobile-exclusive additions like Restaurant and Summit.
