Line Games has rolled out a major update for its open-world MMORPG, Uncharted Waters Origin, on the 18th, featuring a new Admiral Chronicle and the kickoff of a new investment season.

First, the 'Linus Ratchet' Admiral Chronicle has been added. The protagonist is the genius admiral, Linus Ratchet. Set in the 15th-century Nordic seas, the story follows the protagonist as he overcomes maritime crises using his scientific knowledge and intellect.

New navigators have also been added. You can now recruit Steen, a tavern worker from Copenhagen, and Patrice, a tavern worker from Calais, as S-rank navigators once you have maxed out your affinity with them.

The Rhine region has been added as a new sea area, along with two new ports (Cologne and Strasbourg) and a 'Frankish Village'. The existing 'Douro Winery' has been changed to the 'Lusitanian Village'. Additionally, land exploration areas have been added along the Rhine basin, where players can obtain shipbuilding materials, including 'Grade 25 Shipbuilding Orders', as exploration rewards.

Furthermore, the fifth investment season, which runs until April/May of next year, has begun. The subtitle for this season is 'League of the North Sea', inspired by the historical Hanseatic League, with Cologne and the surrounding Rhine area as the main focus.

Throughout the season, two batches of exclusive trade goods, 'Rock Salt' and 'Red Salted Herring', will be added, along with various condiments, groceries, and crafts. Players can enjoy the new season and earn the highest-tier investment certificate, the 'League's Gold Note'.

In line with the new investment season, five new Grade 26 ships have been introduced: 'Ingermanland', 'Junk Schooner', 'Vasa', 'Bucentaur', and 'Koxinga's Hainan Junk'. These can be built using shipbuilding materials and 'Grade 26 Shipbuilding Orders' or by using 'Grade 25 Improved Ships'.

Various events are also being held for Christmas and the year-end season. First, the 'Christmas Special Attendance Event' will run until January 13, where players can earn 'Snowflake Coins' to play the 'Santa’s Game Board' event. Through this event, players can roll dice to win rewards such as 'Grade 26 Shipbuilding Orders' and 'Grade 26 Planks, Masts, and Gunports'.

The '2026 New Year Attendance' event will run until January 31 of next year. Players can obtain a '2026 Lucky Bag' upon logging in, which contains items such as 'Ducats', 'Parts and Equipment Request Forms', and 'Canal Usage/Transport Permits'. On January 1, the '2026 Happy New Year Hot Time' event will be held, rewarding logged-in players with in-game currency 'Blue Gems', 'Grade 5 Common Contracts', and 'Tokens of Transcendence'.
