Dark December is a prequel to Needs Games' previous title, 'Undecember'. It explores the origins of the world and the divine conflicts only hinted at in the previous work. Players step into the role of a Silian, caught in a world on the brink of chaos, tasked with uncovering the truth behind the division of the twelve gods and their own purpose in it all.

The combat is designed to prioritize the visceral feel of the fight and immersion over overly complex systems. With its free-camera, real-time action setup, player inputs and choices directly impact the flow of battle.
