Tablets are being used in various ways due to their larger screens and portability compared to smartphones. As mobile games become increasingly high-spec, interest in gaming tablets is growing, and the 'REDMAGIC Astra' officially launched in the domestic market on January 6.

The REDMAGIC Astra gaming tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. It is equipped with the 'RedCore R3 Pro' gaming coprocessor, which supports system optimizations tailored for gameplay, such as rendering optimization, thermal control, and battery efficiency management. Depending on the model, it offers up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The display features a 9.06-inch OLED panel, and it is the first model to support a 165Hz high refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, it exceeds the brightness of most gaming monitors, and through next-generation touch technology developed in collaboration with Synaptics, it provides an instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 2,000Hz. This supports precise input even when hands are damp, and protects the user's vision with low blue light and flicker-free features.

To maintain high performance, the 13-layer 'ICE-X' cooling system has been introduced. This includes liquid metal, dual vapor chambers, and an ultra-high-speed turbo fan that rotates at up to 20,000 RPM. This active cooling method effectively dissipates heat to minimize thermal throttling.

The device is equipped with a large 8,200mAh battery. It not only supports fast charging but also applies charge-separation technology, which supplies power directly to the device without passing through the battery when plugged in. This reduces heat generated during gameplay while charging and prevents battery degradation. For connectivity, it supports a 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 port and DP output, and runs on an Android 15-based OS integrated with Google Gemini AI.
