Krafton has rolled out update 39.2 for 'PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS', introducing the intensified cold environment of 'Erangel: Subzero'.

This update reinforces the freezing concept of 'Erangel: Subzero' introduced last December. More severe weather changes have been applied across Erangel, with snowstorms obscuring vision and increasing the tension of survival. These changes apply to Normal Matches, Ranked, and Custom Matches, affecting the overall gameplay experience.

Another key change in the update is the 'Satellite Crash'. Replacing the traditional Red Zone, this special zone acts as a new threat as satellites plummet from the sky over Erangel. While colliding with the satellite causes damage, players can acquire various items from the wreckage.

New combat tools have also been added. The 'Blue Zone Generator' is a new item that creates a massive cooling Blue Zone, while the 'Special Heat Suit' is a protective gear that mitigates a certain amount of Blue Zone damage and can only be obtained from satellite crash sites. The suit gradually degrades as it takes damage.

The Rondo map has also received some improvements. Item spawn rates have been adjusted to match the recent environmental changes, and the spawn rates for firearms, attachments, and throwables in Secret Rooms have been increased. On the PC platform, a 'Secondary Password' feature has been introduced to enhance account security. Setting a secondary password is now required to play Ranked matches, replacing the previous SMS verification method.

In addition, the update includes improvements to Team Deathmatch notification effects, the launch of a new Survivor Pass, improvements to the Hideout salvage function, and various bug fixes.
