Three new high-end Hero capes are here!

First, let's dive into the patch notes for the second week of January. The crafting page has been updated to include recipes for the 'Cloak of Agony', 'Cloak of Anguish', and 'Cloak of Aurora'. These three pieces serve as top-tier Hero capes, each boasting six base options. You can see the breakdown in the image provided. Crafting them requires two 'Beast Heartstones' and two 'Hero Armor Crafting Designs' each. My advice? Focus your crafting efforts based on the 4th and 5th options.

As for the Gunslinger and Vanguard, they've received a bit of balance fine-tuning. The Gunslinger's dash-oriented skills—'Run and Gun', 'Somersault', and 'Fast Draw'—have had their ranges extended. It seems the goal is to help them maintain that sweet spot for combat distance. Meanwhile, the MP costs for 'Peacemaker', 'Overkill', 'Steel Rain', 'Double Trouble', and 'Last Man Standing' have been reduced. Additionally, the shotgun-type skills have had their range, impact detection, and area-of-effect parameters adjusted.

The Vanguard has seen a change in the 'Reflect Shield' counter-attack mechanic. Previously, if you took no damage, the counter-attack wouldn't trigger. Post-patch, it will fire off even if you dodge or block the hit. Just keep in mind that this specific improvement only applies to PvE encounters.

Q. Where can I find low-level Rare items?
A. We have broken it down into three stages from level 30 to 60.

A user named 'Nulunanna' caught my eye on the forums. Currently level 30 and kitted out only in common and normal gear, they were looking for a hand in finding low-level Rare equipment and accessories to boost their stats. Fortunately, a user named 'Dongjeongho' stepped up with some solid guidance.

Dongjeongho laid out the farming strategy in three distinct stages from level 30 to 60. For the 30-40 bracket, focus your efforts on the main quests across Velusia to farm design fragments and high-end gear. Once you hit 40-50, head over to Deron to hunt for completed Rare gear and 'Elite Special Forces' equipment—the latter likely being intended for reinforcement and dismantling to hunt for Hero-grade components.

Finally, the 50-60 bracket is where you start gathering Hero gear and design fragments in the early to mid-stages of Romeron. They also mentioned the 'Elite Special Forces' Hero costume; reach level 80 in Special Forces to snag the 'Raven Commander' costume. From level 60 onwards, they added that dungeon runs for enhancement stones and Rare/Hero crafting materials become non-negotiable. Nulunanna seemed quite pleased with the assist.

A little extra tip from me: don't sleep on the regional codex rewards from the Special Forces manual. It’s a system that grants rewards for mapping out a certain percentage of each region. Completing 100% of Velusia, Deron, and Romeron will net you 'Successor's Insignia' items, which act as a master key for crafting Successor's Rare gear. Synerim offers Rare crafting designs as well. If you need a Rare weapon, armor, or accessory design, these are your best friends. You don't even have to fight; just run, dodge, and push through to uncover the map, and you're golden.

I’m going to conquer every Abyss Rift!

Raven 2 has launched two 'Abyss Rift' conquest events. Both run until 4:59 AM on January 21st. The first is 'Abyss Rift Conquest Mission 4'. It's a series of six tasks with relatively low difficulty. Simply defeat 5,000 monsters of each race, and a total of 30,000 monsters of any kind, and you're done. The rewards include 15-pack enhancement stone boxes for weapons, armor, and accessories, with a final reward of five 'Abyss Soul Boxes' for clearing everything.

The second event is the 'Abyss Rift Conquest Attendance'. Over seven days, you'll receive ten each of the potential enhancement materials—Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow Essences—plus six 'Time Recharge Stone: Abyss'. Note that the game day resets at 5:00 AM, so make sure you log in before then to claim your rewards. There's plenty of time left, but try to start by January 14th at the latest.
