On the 6th, MSI unveiled two 34-inch gaming monitors equipped with 5th-generation QD-OLED panels. The MEG X and MPG 341CQR QD-OLED X36 support a 21:9 aspect ratio, UWQHD resolution, and a 360Hz refresh rate. Both models feature proprietary technology powered by an NPU-based integrated circuit, including the OLED Care 3.0 AI Care sensor, and incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as Tandem OLED, Dark Armor film, and Uniform Luminance.

Among these, what caught the attention of gamers is the AI analysis function supported by the monitor itself. The MEG X monitor series analyzes the screen in real-time to assist players, regardless of whether the game supports it. Features such as AI Tracker, AI Scene, AI Goggle, AI Vision Plus, and AI Scope are supported, with AI Scene and Vision Plus recognizing the screen to adjust the appropriate screen mode and brightness.

The features that have become controversial are AI Tracker, AI Goggle, and AI Scope. First, AI Tracker automatically recognizes characters and displays them more brightly. These characters include various monsters and enemies. In the CES 2026 demonstration video, enemies targeting the player were highlighted with a white outline when the player turned their head in an FPS game.

AI Goggle and AI Scope go a step further. AI Scope automatically tracks targets when they enter the crosshair and also supports a night vision function depending on the settings. AI Goggle automatically adjusts brightness and contrast when an opponent throws a flashbang, allowing the player to recover their vision quickly and effectively neutralizing the flashbang.

User opinions on this gaming monitor are divided. While there are many reactions that it is fascinating, there are also criticisms regarding whether game companies can permit a monitor that provides functions essentially similar to hardware cheats. Perhaps conscious of this controversy, actual demonstration videos of these features cannot be found on MSI's official YouTube channel.
