Lightcore Games has announced that its mobile idle RPG, Song of the Nameless, will officially launch on February 6. The pre-registration campaign is already gaining momentum, having surpassed the 500,000 participant mark.

Song of the Nameless takes its spiritual cues from the classic pixel RPGs that dominated the 90s and early 2000s. It’s an attempt to marry that nostalgic dot-art aesthetic with the modern, low-effort convenience of an idle system. The game has already proven its worth in the Japanese market, where it launched under the title Poem of the Nameless and climbed to the top spot on the App Store’s free games chart.

Alongside the release date announcement, Lightcore Games shared an interview with voice actor Choi Han, who portrays the character 'Arthur'. Choi revealed that the original soundtrack, featuring contributions from industry legends like Motoi Sakuraba and Noriyuki Iwadare, served as a primary inspiration for shaping his character.

"Listening to the music, I became convinced that Arthur was a warrior deeply attuned to the heavy atmosphere of the battlefield," Choi remarked. "I adjusted the texture and rhythm of my voice to ensure it blended seamlessly into the world." He also added a touch of sentimentality, noting, "Those pixel characters from my childhood are essentially vessels for memories of grand adventures."

Choi isn't the only talent on board. The cast also features Kim Young-sun, Yeo Min-jung, Kim Do-young, Kim Haru, and Kim Arong. Kim Young-sun takes on the role of the soul guide 'Hermod', while Yeo Min-jung voices the holy knight 'Tyr'. Rounding out the cast, Kim Do-young plays the enforcer 'Beth', Kim Haru voices the shepherd girl 'Delia', and Kim Arong steps into the role of 'Fiona'.
