As we approach the end of winter, a global celebration with Pokémon is set to take place in Seoul.

Niantic announced on the 30th that it will host a special live event in Seoul to coincide with its annual large-scale event, 'Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global'. The event will be held for two days from February 28 to March 1 at two locations: the Songhyeon Green Plaza and Hyundai City Outlet Dongdaemun. Each venue will feature various interactive content and social spaces.

The main hub, 'Songhyeon Green Plaza', is designed as a space for trainers to connect. The site will feature dedicated zones for Trainer Battles and Raid Battles to compete against other users, as well as a community hub for social interaction. The Hyundai City Outlet Dongdaemun will focus on experiential activities, including a tutorial zone to help new and returning players learn the game, and photo zones to capture memories of their visit.

To commemorate 'Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global', the game will introduce new Mega Evolutions, 'Mega Victreebel' and 'Mega Malamar', for the first time. Players can challenge Mega Raids featuring Mega Victreebel on February 28 and Mega Malamar on March 1. Participants at these raids can earn commemorative backgrounds featuring motifs from Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, or the Mega Evolution mechanic.

Meanwhile, a pre-event titled 'Road to Kalos' will be held from February 23 to 27. During the event period, content themed around different regions will be provided each day. Additionally, a new GO Pass will be introduced, offering various rewards such as Lucario with a special Mega Evolution-themed background and a GO Tour 2026 T-shirt.
