Nexon has rolled out its latest update for MapleStory M, introducing the new character 'Illium' and the new boss 'Kalos'.

Illium is a Wood Lef mage who wields a magic gauntlet as their primary weapon. They can transition into the Glory Wing mode to take flight or deploy powerful mechanical summons to dominate the battlefield. If you take down expedition bosses with an Illium character at level 100 or higher, you'll earn double the cumulative rewards. Plus, there are various level-up events, content step-ups, and attendance bonuses offering growth elixirs and commander loot boxes to help you get geared up.

Until April 15, you can designate a newly created character as a 'Born to V' character. By completing specific missions, you can hit level 200 in about 30 minutes. Following that, a Hyper Burning Booster provides a 1+4 level-up bonus all the way to level 250.

The new boss 'Kalos' has also arrived. Players at level 268 or above can challenge this boss once a week. Success grants you the MapleStory M original accessory 'Watcher's Eye'. Other spoils include soul shards, marks of magic, a voucher for 100 Therion Flares, and Eternal Rebirth Flames. The first 100 players to successfully defeat Kalos will be gifted a Watcher Kalos Riding and a commemorative badge.

There are also events in the Mileage and Coin shops. Until March 8, you can swap your mileage in the 3rd Moonlight Mileage Shop for items like the 2026 Moonlight Special Emblem, which grants a 20% boost to experience gain and a 10% bonus to party EXP. Meanwhile, the Star-Wind Coin Shop runs until March 22, where you can spend coins earned from the 3rd Aer Star and Wind Story event to grab items like the Petit Elian pet package and entry tickets for the Authentic Symbol dungeon.
