Bloober Team, the studio widely known for developing the Silent Hill 2 Remake, has officially revealed their new title, 'Layers of Fear 3'. This announcement was made as part of a special showcase commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Layers of Fear series.

Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, expressed his gratitude to fans, saying, "Thank you for holding this series so close to your hearts over the past years," as he introduced Layers of Fear 3. The development team remarked, "Exactly 10 years ago was the moment that defined us as a horror game studio, and we prepared this special showcase to commemorate that moment."

Layers of Fear 3 does not yet have a confirmed release date or platform. The newly released teaser video features a man reciting William Blake's poem, 'The Sick Rose'. The video shows paintings of a woman, presumably the sick rose, and a human figure with its mouth stitched shut. As ghostly figures move behind the paintings, the portrait of the woman falls to the floor. The man attributes this to his 'little friend,' stating that the friend is "trying to help but isn't quite used to the afterlife yet." The teaser ends with the man issuing a Valentine's Day warning to the audience and flipping an hourglass.

The Layers of Fear series is a psychological horror franchise that released its first title in 2016, followed by a sequel in 2021 and a remake in 2023. Bloober Team is currently developing both Layers of Fear 3 and the Silent Hill 2 Remake.
