Digital Extremes has announced that its live-service game, Warframe, has officially launched on Android devices via the global Google Play Store. The game is a free-to-play sci-fi action title where players take on the role of the Tenno, an ancient warrior caste, to wage war across the vast expanse of space.

Warframe has been loved by users for over a decade, securing more than 85 million registered players. While it began during its open beta with a single tileset and four Warframes, it now features 20 planets, four open worlds, over 30 quests, and approximately 65 base Warframes. Android users can enjoy full cross-platform play and cross-save support, just like existing players on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Nintendo Switch, and can experience all content, including the latest update, 'The Old Blood,' in a mobile environment. It will also support connectivity with the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Sheldon Carter, President of Digital Extremes, stated, "Bringing the Warframe experience to Android users has been a long-standing goal of ours. This year marks a significant milestone for both the Warframe community and the development team, and we are thrilled to complete our cross-play ecosystem, which will soon include the Nintendo Switch 2."

Limited rewards are also available for Android users. Those who download and log in to Warframe on Android by March 4 will receive the 'Cumulus Collection,' which includes weapon and armor cosmetics as well as resource boosters. The minimum system requirements for running the game are a 64-bit Android device with an ARM64 processor, Android OS 12.0 or higher, and at least 4GB of RAM.
