In celebration of the Year of the Horse, the 'Horse Game Festival' has arrived on Steam.

Valve kicked off the 'Horse Game Festival' on Steam on the 20th. The festival features a curated collection of games centered on horses and similar creatures. It highlights titles themed around various equines, including zebras, donkeys, and unicorns.

The event is open to games where horses are the central theme, such as horse racing games, horse breeding and ranch management sims, or titles where a horse is the protagonist. Additionally, games where horse riding constitutes a significant portion of the gameplay are also eligible.

Conversely, there are clear restrictions on participation. General farming simulation games that involve caring for various animals alongside horses are excluded. Titles where a horse is merely one of many animals and not the core focus are also ineligible. The same applies to games set on a horse ranch if horses do not play a significant role in the actual gameplay.

The event runs until the early hours of the 24th (KST) and features various discount promotions, as well as a dedicated section for upcoming releases and playable demos. This allows users to explore both established popular titles and new games awaiting official release.

Key titles featured in the Horse Game Festival include Red Dead Redemption 2, Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition (50% off), G1 Ranch Story (47% off), Rustler: Grand Theft Horse (80% off), I Don't Fall (60% off), and My Little Pony: Zephyr Heights Mystery (55% off). Additionally, Uma Musume: Pretty Derby - Sprint-Start! The Great Thanksgiving is also participating in the event.

Meanwhile, starting from the early hours of the 24th, when the Horse Game Festival concludes, the 'Steam Next Fest: February 2026 Edition' will begin, showcasing highly anticipated upcoming titles. The Steam Next Fest will run from the early hours of the 24th to the early hours of March 3rd.
