Riot Games has announced the participating teams, tournament structure, and schedule for Masters Santiago, the first international event of the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT). The tournament will be held from March 1 to March 16 at the Espacio Riesco convention center in Santiago, Chile. Twelve teams from four global regions will compete for the championship, with Nongshim RedForce, T1, and Paper Rex representing South Korea.

Masters Santiago is divided into two stages: the Swiss Stage and the Playoffs. The Swiss Stage will take place from March 1 to March 5 (KST). Eight teams, consisting of the second and third seeds from each international league, will compete in a best-of-three format. From VCT Pacific, T1 and Paper Rex will begin their journey in the Swiss Stage. Four teams that secure two wins across three rounds will advance to the Playoffs.

Teams that advance to the Playoffs will face the top-seeded teams that earned direct entry, including VCT Pacific Kickoff champions Nongshim RedForce. Other seeded teams include FURIA, BBL Esports, and All Gamers. The Playoffs will follow a double-elimination format, where every victory earns Championship Points. These points are crucial for qualifying for Champions Shanghai, which will be held this September, leading to intense competition from the start of the season. The grand final is scheduled for March 16.

Riot Games has prepared various activities for fans worldwide. During the tournament, players can participate in the in-game 'Pick'ems' event. Participants can earn exclusive weapon charms and sprays available only during Masters Santiago based on their predictions. All matches of Masters Santiago will be broadcast live on platforms such as YouTube, Chzzk, and SOOP.
