A new Overwatch mobile title has been unveiled, offering a casual 4v4 experience.

On the 24th, Blizzard announced the new title 'Overwatch: Rush' via their official blog, complete with an early demo video. Rather than just a simple port, it is a brand-new top-down hero shooter built specifically for mobile platforms within the Overwatch universe.

The early demo shows familiar faces like Mercy, Tracer, Soldier: 76, Reinhardt, Reaper, Lucio, and Pharah. Their abilities mirror the original game, and the gameplay features a system where players tap a skill and drag to aim, which is optimized for handheld play.

The battlefield features a map reminiscent of the 'Busan' map, complete with familiar signs like 'Starry Night Karaoke' and 'Fish Cake Holic'. Simplified health packs are scattered around, and the visual clarity is sharp, with vivid effects highlighting ultimate and skill ranges. It appears that much of the content is being remastered or adapted specifically for the mobile audience.

Blizzard stated that Overwatch: Rush is being developed by a dedicated team of mobile veterans, explicitly noting that the main Team 4 will remain focused solely on the original Overwatch. They added, "Our goal is to bring new adventures to players across all platforms while expanding the Overwatch universe," promising to keep the community updated on their progress.

Meanwhile, Overwatch: Rush is currently gearing up for testing in select countries and regions.
