Smilegate announced on the 25th that they are updating Chaos Zero Nightmare with the second chapter of their story-driven seasonal content, 'Galaxy Disaster' Season 2, titled 'Ruins of the Desert Kingdom'. This update introduces a new operative named Tipera, alongside new systems including 'Environmental Variables' and 'First Synchronization'.

In 'Ruins of the Desert Kingdom', the secrets of Tipera and another story regarding Peng, who operates the black market, will be revealed. The update also provides new information on the Season 2 Chaos, 'Blazing Life'. Alongside the narrative expansion, the 'Great Rift' content has also begun. The Great Rift is a ranking event where players compete based on the total damage dealt to bosses, rewarding them with various in-game currency and limited-edition cosmetic items based on their highest record and ranking tier. Furthermore, 'Omega Codes', which are materials for the Ego manifestation of all operatives, have been added to the Galaxy Disaster exclusive reward shop.

The season’s key characters, Tipera and Tiana, join as a new operative and partner respectively. Tipera belongs to the Controller class with the Order attribute and is specialized in supporting allies by creating 'Creation Cards' that provide various effects. Her partner, Tiana, increases the defense of the assigned operative and features the ability to increase allied damage when the assigned operative creates cards with the 'Annihilation' effect.

This update also introduces the new systems 'Environmental Variables' and 'First Synchronization'. Environmental Variables is a system designed to provide a unique Chaos exploration experience for each Galaxy Disaster season. Players can sequentially activate skill trees to further enhance seasonal buffs or improve convenience. First Synchronization is a system that adjusts the growth stage of a designated operative to match the player's Commander level, allowing under-leveled operatives to be quickly deployed into battle.

Meanwhile, Smilegate is hosting various events to celebrate the new story update.
