During a five-month early access stint, the title managed to pull in a Very Positive rating from players, with 95 percent of 105 reviews leaning in favour, and console ports for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are expected later this year.

Hypnos is set within the Maze Chronicles universe crafted by Redlock Studio, serving up a surreal narrative adventure. Following the studio's previous work Blackshard, the developer keeps a moody atmosphere while weaving branching storytelling right into the gameplay. Players will wander around Nameless City on a hunt for a dream-haunting boy, crossing paths with dreamers, spirits, and otherworldly entities along the way.

The 1.0 release packs four alternate endings shaped by player choices, a total of seven chapters, expanded exploration zones, and fresh faces. The game relies on a distinct semi-open world structure where players forge a personal path through Nameless City. Through chats and choices with the eccentric locals of the Far Reaches, player actions directly sway the fate of these characters.

The soundtrack comes courtesy of French multimedia artist and composer ALT236, blending ambient, retro, and dreamy electronic sounds to dial up the moody atmosphere.
