The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) held an opening ceremony for the 'Probability-Type Item Damage Relief Center' at the Busan Film Industry Center on the 27th at 2 PM.

The center is designed to tackle issues related to games and probability-type items, enlisting a dedicated squad of consultants, monitoring specialists, and lawyers to provide support. The GRAC has deployed a team of roughly 20 staff, pledging to sharpen their investigative and advisory skills through ongoing training.

In a bid to strengthen operations, the GRAC restructured its organization on February 1st, establishing a new 'User Protection Division' to offer one-stop support for players affected by probability-type items. This division is split into three: the 'Damage Consultation Team' for intake, the 'Damage Investigation Team' to sift through facts, and the 'Damage Support Team' tasked with preventive education, system guidance, and post-support.

GRAC Chairman Seo Tae-geon remarked, "We hope that the 'Probability-Type Item Damage Relief Center,' which begins its operations today, will become a trusted friend to users and a bridge connecting them with game companies, ensuring our gaming ecosystem is transparent and fair. I also hope this small step marks a giant leap in elevating the dignity of Korean gaming culture."

The ceremony saw around 50 attendees, including representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Busan City, and various industry associations. The event proceeded with congratulatory messages from the Ministry and National Assembly, a progress report on the legal amendments regarding probability-type items since 2024, the unveiling ceremony, and a guided tour of the new facilities.
