Gen.G has lifted the 2026 LCK championship trophy after a clinical 3-0 sweep in the finals. By finishing the 2026 LCK Cup without dropping a single series—from the group stage through the playoffs and finally the grand finals—they have once again cemented their status as the absolute kings of the LCK.

The 2026 LCK Cup finals took place on March 1st at the Kai Tak Arena in Hong Kong. It was a clash between Gen.G, looking to repeat their success from last year, and BNK FearX, who were making their first-ever grand final appearance since the team's inception.

Gen.G wasted no time putting the pressure on BNK FearX from the opening of game one. Around the 3-minute mark, Kim 'Canyon' Geon-bu’s Jarvan IV pulled off a lethal gank to secure first blood against Nam 'Diablo' Dae-geun’s Varus. Gen.G even stifled a bold Dragon attempt by BNK FearX, rotating four players quickly to snatch both the objective and two kills. Canyon continued to exert his dominance in the jungle, notably stealing two Void Grubs away from BNK FearX.

The defining moment arrived around the 25-minute mark during a skirmish in the mid lane. While Gen.G initially looked vulnerable after Canyon’s Jarvan IV was taken down first, they expertly turned the tide against a deep-diving BNK FearX, wiping out everyone except Jeon 'Raptor' Eo-jin. In the ensuing re-engagement, Gen.G dismantled the remaining enemy carries and marched straight through to destroy the Nexus.

Game two was a bit of a bumpy ride for Gen.G. Lee 'Clozer' Ju-hyeon kept the bottom lane under constant distress, hindering the growth of Park 'Ruler' Jae-hyuk, and with BNK FearX securing the Void Grub, they held the advantage through the early and mid-game.

However, the tides turned as Canyon and Ruler successfully pulled off two clutch Dragon steals and systematically picked off isolated members of BNK FearX in the bot lane. The game broke open at 19 minutes during a fight near Baron Nashor; the crushing engage potential of Jayce, Ambessa, and Galio secured three kills. Once Gen.G pocketed the Baron buff, they swept every subsequent team fight to close out the second game.

Gen.G's unstoppable ascent continued into the third game. Kim 'Kiin' Gi-in and Jeong 'Chovy' Ji-hoon, piloting Aatrox and Annie respectively, leveraged their champion matchups to seize control early on. With Canyon's Wukong adding another cheeky Dragon steal to his collection, the atmosphere began to tilt irrevocably in Gen.G's favour.

BNK FearX attempted a comeback on the back of their steadily scaling bot lane duo, but that hope was snuffed out at the 20-minute mark when Ju 'Duro' Min-gyu’s Neeko and Canyon’s Wukong caught and eliminated them in the mid lane. The gold gap widened into a chasm, and at 30 minutes, during the final stand at Baron Nashor, Ruler's Zeri recorded a spectacular pentakill, handing the trophy to Gen.G.

Kim 'Canyon' Geon-bu was awarded the Finals MVP. With this perfect tournament run, Gen.G secures their spot as the LCK's first seed heading into First Stand, which is scheduled to take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from the 16th to the 22nd.
