The second season of the League of Legends international tournament, First Stand, is set to be held at the Riot Games Arena in São Paulo, Brazil, for seven days from the 16th to the 22nd. This year, eight teams will participate, with Gen.G and BNK FearX representing the LCK.

Unlike in 2025, the number of participating teams has expanded from five to eight. The LCK and LPL will each send two teams, while the LEC, LCP, LCS, and CBLOL will each be represented by one team. Gen.G and BNK FearX have been confirmed as the LCK representatives, alongside G2 Esports (LEC), Team Secret Whales (LCP), LYON (LCS), and LOUD (CBLOL). The two LPL representatives will be decided on March 7, and the final seeding for each team will be confirmed on the 8th.

With the field expanded to eight teams, this year's First Stand will feature a group stage and a knockout stage. The group stage draw will take place on the evening of the 8th after the LPL finals, splitting the eight teams into two groups. Each group will compete in a double-elimination format, with the top two teams from each group—four in total—advancing to the knockout stage. The semi-finals will be held on the 21st, and the two winning teams will advance to the grand final on the 22nd. All matches will be played as best-of-five series using the Fearless Draft format.

LCK representatives Gen.G and BNK FearX are aiming for a second consecutive First Stand title following 2025. Hanwha Life Esports, who participated as the LCK representative in 2025, defeated regional powerhouses to become the inaugural champions. If the LCK wins this First Stand, they will achieve the feat of winning consecutive titles for over two years across all international tournaments hosted by Riot Games (First Stand, Mid-Season Invitational, and World Championship).

Regions that perform well at First Stand will receive favorable seeding at the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). In particular, the region that produces the winning team will be granted the benefit of skipping the Play-In stage and advancing directly to the Bracket stage at the upcoming MSI, which will be held in Daejeon, South Korea.

Meanwhile, from the 18th of this month to April 15, a portion of the proceeds from the 'Battle Hound Senna' skin and related bundles will be distributed to League of Legends esports teams. The skin can be purchased as a standalone item, or in border and chroma bundles, with individual chromas also sold separately. Viewers can receive drop rewards by logging in with their Riot ID on the official League of Legends esports website and watching the live broadcast, not only from the venue in São Paulo but from anywhere in the world. A limited-edition Evelynn emote will be dropped during the grand final, and surprise drops linked to the Esports World Cup and Secretlab will also be provided.
