H2 Interactive has announced that the PS5 physical version of the arcade racing game 'Screamer', developed by Milestone and published by Plaion, will be officially released on the 26th. Pre-orders for the game will begin on the 6th.

Screamer is set in a futuristic world that reinterprets the 1990s anime aesthetic for the modern era. The game offers an intense racing experience that combines combat and strategic elements beyond simple speed competition. It showcases a new form of racing by blending explosive speed, a strategic combat system, and unique anime-style visuals.

In the Screamer Tournament, drivers with different motivations—such as desire, ambition, and revenge—gather to compete for glory and power. Players participate in high-stakes races that combine speed and combat. Five teams with different backgrounds, including soldiers, scientists, criminals, superstars, and tycoons, gather for the tournament, and each driver operates a dedicated vehicle with unique abilities.

The core racing technology, ECHO, is a combat-racing system that utilizes boost, strikes, and shields to suppress rivals. Activating 'Overdrive' leads to extreme speed and chaos. The game also offers various racing modes, including team races, Overdrive-specialized modes, and both online and split-screen multiplayer.

The physical Korean edition of Screamer includes the base game disc, the 'Chrome Style Pack' featuring a chrome livery for the Screamer vehicle, and the 'Iridescent Style Pack' featuring an iridescent livery. As a pre-order bonus, a set of five Screamer art cards will be provided.
